Rachel McClure is a Michigan-based therapist offering both in-person & telehealth appointments.

My Background

I have over 10 years of experience as therapist practicing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, though I work with clients throughout Michigan virtually.

I’m a Certified Advanced Drug & Alcohol Counselor (CAADC) and have had many experiences working specifically with those in recovery. I am certified in EMDR therapy through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). EMDR is a type of therapy used to treat PTSD, trauma, anxiety, addiction, and other mental health issues.

I work exclusively with adults and have a supportive, empathetic, and practical approach to therapy. I collaborate with clients to create a customized care plan and can help you to learn skills to reach your goals and bring peace and healing to your life.

As an LGBTQ+ person, I’m passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and have an understanding of issues particular to our community.

I have experience working with those on their journey to coming out, addressing internalized homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia, as well as gender identity affirmation and transgender support. I also work with family members seeking to better understand and support loved ones who are facing these issues. I am trained in, and follow, WPATH’s Standards of Care and am happy to write letters of support for medical transition procedures and services for my clients.

Although I am not a sex or relationship therapist, I am poly/enm/kink friendly and knowledgeable.
